Jessica is a Birth Doula, Placenta Specialist, Lactation Educator & Counselor, Student Midwife and Co-Owner of OC Doula Collective. After the birth of her first daughter, she felt an internal pull towards being a Doula and walking along side of women during their journey to parenthood. She was captivated by a profession that empowers mothers to find their own voice and make informed decisions during childbirth. She believes that prenatal education, a supportive team and knowing your options are the building blocks to a positive birth experience. Jessica’s training and education includes extensive breast feeding support, baby wearing education, birth planning, comfort measures for labor, placenta encapsulation and using herbs and oils during the childbearing year.
Jessica is a wife and mom of three lovely daughters. She had a peaceful home water birth of her second baby surrounded by so much love. She is currently on the path to have a more active role in supporting women’s brith choices and is enrolled at the Nizhoni Institute of Midwifery. On days off, she adores spending time chasing her barefoot toddler, cuddling her baby in the ring sling, dancing to live music, traveling, family dinners around the table, and absorbing all things natural living, birth and essential oils.
